June 2nd vsg I tolerate fluids ,foods. I ate semi solid of two eggs dolup of yogurt on top. I wasn't to full but I didn't eat anything else but two hours later I was hungry again. I feel like I'm fighting the same battle before the surgery if its head hunger is still hunger which means it's no different I'm getting very frustrated I really thought that I was going to feel something different and I'm not everybody keep saying its head hunger its head Hunger weather atted hunger or real hunger its hunger nevertheless and it's still horrible I thought with this surgery and have some kind of a relief and it's just as much as a battle before the surgery and after not so sure I did the right thing. the 18 pounds that I lost was due to me starving it had nothing to do with my please or using my sleeve for restriction and better choices of food it was starvation so I can't credit my sweetie for those 18 pounds we'll see how it goes. Ugh

I know me too! I am hungry all the time.I can eat anything and have no problem drinking fliuds. The only good thing is I cannot eat as much thank goodness. I don't need to chew as much as it is suggested either…I hope this works out for us. I am down 27 pounds. I had my surgery on April 28 this year. Hang in there…its gotta get better. Someone said something about too much acid n the stomach. Good Luck!

Most of the time hunger is really stomach acid that mimics hunger.  If you're not taking a PPI already (such as Prilosec or Nexium) start taking one.  If you are taking one already, talk to your doctor about getting a stronger one or increasing your dosage.

Just because you can eat anything doesn't mean you should.  And just because you feel okay not chewing as much as you were told doesn't mean you should skimp on the chewing either.

My doctor never said I needed anything. I think I will take your advice. Thanks for helping me.

Well I am 3 weeks now and yesterday my taste buds completely changed. I lost five pounds over night, if that's even possible. I know am not as hungry and I just backed off food. I threw up three times and that was enough to push the food away. Half cup and I am done.

I am 11 days post op and I am always hungry.    Still on liquids but I do not thinK I will be eating less on stage 3  I can tolerate 12oz if I wanted to but I try not to go over 8oz at once.  I do not feel the surgery helped me much on controlling my hunger
