I go for my pre op class on the 4th but do any of you know if you need to take supplements if you have the sleeve? I know you do for the RNY...

On my plan, I take 2 complete multi's, a calcium chew and a complete B vitamin each day. I also take an iron supplement, but that's because I am female. I think you do need to at least take a multi vitamin each day after VSG, pretty much across the board. Good luck on your journey!

The ASMBS recommends that we have a multi vitamin with 200% of most vitamins and minerals as well as 1500mg of Calcium CITRATE a day.  (Which needs to be taken in doses of 500-600mg at a time, 2 hours apart.)  Most of us also need B-12, iron, and D3 based on lab work.

Since Iron and Calcium can't be taken together, for most of us this means we need to take vites 4 times a day.
