Completely fell off the wagon!

I have completely reverted to the habits that caused me to stalk this page in the summer of 2013. I had my surgery 9/12/2013. HW 226 SW 216 CW 135. For the first year I did fairly well. I still a loosing weight just at a very slow pace. In Sept of 2014 I was at 145. I am eating nothing but carbs. The protein repulses me at this point. I rarely eat meat, I am a huge salad girl, but it must have cottage cheese and full fat freanch dressing (practically living on this). I have even began eating fast food and can eat a Jr cheeseburger deluxe from Wendys in one sitting sometimes. I am making horrible choices in regards to food. I am considering going back to basics to jump start my metabolism and get myself back on track. Any thoughts?

If getting back to basics means getting back to living the way you're supposed to, then I highly recommend that!  I'd start by logging everything you eat with something like MyFitnessPal, that way you'll know exactly what you're eating and what needs to change.  From there, really get back to your basics.  Here are my basics, yours might be slightly different.

1. Prioritize protein and water
2. Deprioritize carbs, especially the refined and processed ones
3. Make the most of healthy fats
4. Eat three meals a day with no snacks
5. Avoid liquid calories (breakfast protein shake is the exception)
6. Weigh portions
7. Eat mindfully and with no distractions aside from real live people
8. Move as much as possible
9. Weigh myself daily
10. Be kind to myself

I really agree with Gwen's suggestions.  I follow pretty much the same things and it has worked well for me.  I do have to recommit from time to time and remind myself of how I got to where I was pre-surgery.

Good luck!
