I'm 10 days from my VSG surgery. Working on my liver shrinking diet but I still haven't found a good protein powder.... Any advice on brands would be greatly appreciated! And do I have to mix them with water or can I use milk?

Thanks y'all

Taste is a matter of personal preference.  I prefer Optimum Nutrition Double Rich Chocolate and I get it from Amazon.  I mix mine with unsweetened almond milk, but you should ask your NUT what their requirements are.

If I only had 10 days left I would just buy a case of premier protein from Costco. They have vanilla and chocolate, and I bought the chocolate and I love it. I also bought 2 4 packs of muscle milk 100 vanilla flavor at Wallmart. I use it in my coffee and also I mix it half and half with the premier protein to make it a light chocolate and mix up the taste.

best of luck to you.I am there on Dec3rd. Started the pre op diet on Oct 30 due to high BMI. Didn't think I could stick to it but I did for the most part. My NUT said to do the best you can. I surprised myself by doing better.

I am on my pre-op diet as well and I love the Unjury Chicken soup for a savory change and the strawberry pr tiramisu powder by Max Pro (http://www.maxmuscle.com/uploads/pds/MaxProPDS.pdf).  I made protien jello with the strawberry for a change and it worked great as well!
