Has anyone tried this? I am 2 years post-surgery.  I am on Day 3 and am wondering how others feel about the plan.  My nutritionist said it was ok to try it.

I am very interested in trying this. I am 11 years out, I have regained 28lbs and I would like a kickstart in losing it. Please share the details.

Yes!! I just did the 5 day pouch test last week. I DID NOT CHEAT at all, however, I'm still terrible at drinking enough fluids. Follow the directions and use the recipes found on the 5 day pouch test site as your guide if you get stuck. I used canned bean soups and pureed the heck out of them. Eat lots of eggs and tuna on day 3. All you want! The last 2 days I ate turkey burgers, no bread of course, and the last day chicken breast. YOU CAN DO IT! I weighed at the beginning and was 160.4. Day 5 weigh in was 154.2. Mine was a success and I can feel my pouch again and I know it works! Good luck! :>

Thank you for the post! I have been thinking of doing this. I have been stalled for several months now.

OOooooh, boy, I'm so glad I found your posting.  Been off track for quite awhile and gaining weight.  Not happy about it and out of control.

Doing the 5day pouch thing starting tomorrow morning.  I got this!

Every day is a new opportunity

I was taking a look at the 5 day pouch test online and then remembered ObesityHelp. Thank you for posting your results! I plan on starting this tomorrow since I already ate breakfast. Hmmm I think I will start today at lunch!

I'm disappointed to hear your nutritionist thinks trying a fad diet is OK.  Maybe you would do better to consult a registered dietician.  You know, someone with a degree in nutrition and a license and everything.

Did fad diets help you before WLS?  They aren't any more effective post-op.
