What kind of fresh fruit/fruits do you like to mix into your protein drink (it doesn't matter if one fruit or more than one fruit)?

The fruit/fruits that I like to use in my protein drink is: Bananas, cherries, green or purple grapes, and some times blueberries.

I use one cup of skim milk or one cup of 1% low fat milk in my protein drinks.

I am very careful about how much fruit I eat because I am sensitive to sugar. A little frozen strawberries or frozen peaches with alot of ice mixed in a blender with the protein powder and unsweetened almond-coconut milk is my favorite. I especially like chocolate protein powder and strawberries.

Sorry to hear that you're sensitive to sugar. I have to careful with sugar too, I don't want to over do it with the sugar. If I put two or more fruits in my protein drink I just put a tiny bit in just to get the taste and the nutrients of the fruits. Most of the time I just put in one fruit in, but limit to a some amount. The unsweetened almond-coconut milk sound good to put into the protein drink. I use to use the chocolate protein powder and put in strawberries in the drink. Now I use the vanilla cream protein powder. Yours does sound good.

I am actually glad I am sensitive to sugar. It keeps me away from stuff I shouldn't eat. If you dump once, you won't ever want to do it again. I actually passed out with cold sweats and hot flashes and disorientatiin from eating
too many blueberries and no protien.

You are? Sorry to hear. I guess it can be good to be sensitive to sugar at the same time our body needs to have some sugar in it to balance out. Dumping is rare for me in post-op of WLS, I don't like dumping. Wow! So sorry to hear that you pass out from cold sweats, hot flashes and disorientation due to eating too many blueberries and no protein. I hope you're doing okay now.

Thanks, I just learned my lesson. I always have protien with fruit or grain based Carbs, and I limit the sugar grams over all. It helps keep me in line. I think it is the sugar in milk that makes me feel bad too. I feel better with unsweetened almond or almond-coconut milk, but I am not lactose intollerant. Dairy is inflamitory anyway, and I have some auto immune stuff going on, so I should avoid it for that too. I eat chia seeds instead of oatmeal and kelp noodles instead of real ones. After 5 years I am still learning.

You're welcome, okay. Same here. Sorry to hear that surgar in milk makes you feel bad. That's good that you feel better with unsweetended almond or almond-coconut milk, I don't know if I'll like them or not. Dairy are inflamitory? Sorry about the auto immune stuff that you're going through. How are the chia seeds? Cool, I'm over 3 years ot and I'm still learning too.

Yes, dairy is inflamatory so bad for autoimmune disorders. I think all animal based protiens are, but I can feel the difference with dairy. I add a lot of leafy greens to things because they are anti inflamatory. I try to balance things and do all in moderation. I love chia seeds.
