low carb?

I realized that "bad" carbs (white flour, white rice, white potatoes, and sweets) may be the reason why I haven't lost any weight since April. So I've been on a low carb/ high protein (mainly chicken and fish) eating pattern since Monday. My question is what's considered low carb? I've been eating under 20 gram; is that considered to low?    Also, I noticed with me leaving out the "bad" carbs my calories for the day has been way under 1000.How do you bring up the calories without bringing up the carbs.

This post goes back a little but I just found it in my searches. I'm now doing what you did, basically doing into "ketosis" and I'm kind of having the same issues with my calories but as long as I stick with proteins I can get my calories above 1000. How long did you do this for and how did you do? I'm only 11 weeks out, I'm losing weight but so slow, like less than 2 lbs a week which seems slow this early out. Anyways, hope to hear back.
