Is Jack3d safe for us?
I was in GNC looking at tehir options since I usually do all of my protein shopping on line. The customer service guy suggested I try Jack3d as a pre-work out muscle builder. I really want to get the best out of my work outs and I go to the gym 5 days a week. Does any one know if it is safe for RNYers to take?

7/18/10: 211lbs, 10/16/10: 174 lbs, 1/21/11: 146 lbs, 4/20/11: 131 lbs. Insulin FREE since 7/2010, "normal" BMI since 12/2010. I'm 31, 5'5", happily married, with a fabulous 3 year old boy, and hope to add to our family in the near future 
I know we are all different, but I tried the grape flavor one.
All I can tell you is that within 20 minutes of drinking it I was on the toilet with sevier abdominal pain, sweating profusely (not from workout), and crapping my guts out. May not affect you that way, but was a no go for me!
be prepared for the worst. I asked my trainer about it and he says that because of our surgery we dont have that "stomach acid" buffer and Jacked is an instant shock to our systems. Some people can take it and some cant.

Thanks Flippy, I ended up with energy shots instead for that extra push.
I also tried Anarchy as a pre-workout, but if I use it too many days in a row, it messes with my blood pressure (drops it) so I've shied away from that one.

Found some new (new to me) protien "shots" that really are working for me at VItamin Shoppe. They are called New Whey Liquid Protein. They have 42 grams of protein in a 3.5oz bottle. they are *lactose free, *sugar free, *gluten free, * caffeine free, *Fat Free. It has 180 calories in the tube, but for me so worth it.
I HATE the way protein shakes smell so I hate to drink them. This i can down quickly and know I got half my protein for the day. It isnt the best tasting thing in the world, but it doesnt stink and I can get it down in 3 swallows.
