This is going to be a long one but I'm at my wits end and honestly have no idea what to do!

I had weight loss surgery (RNY) on April 28th, 2005 - at the time I was 400lbs.

I followed my diet, didn't exercise which I now understand was ridiculous, never had any problems at all. I lost my weight and got down to my goal of 175lbs by July 2007.

September 2009 I got sick, or at least that's what I thought. These were/are my symptoms

- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Extreme stomach and intestine/bowel pain whenever I ate or drank anything.
- Diahreah Contstantly, no matter how much I ate or drank. I was in the bathroom within 15 minutes of putting ANYTHING into my mouth. The pain also came when I wasn't eating or drinking.
Basically I was in the bathroom 15 - 20 times a day.

Finally, after going to my doctor several times I tried Emergency. I was there 3 times before they admitted me. I was in the hospital 3 days, during which they over hydrated me, gave me wrong medication and basically treated me like **** Gotta love BC health care!

They did an ultra sound and endoscopy and told me nothing was wrong with my stomach. I asked if they checked my intestines....of course they didn't!

I was released from the hospital with the specialist saying " Hmmmm looks like you might have a mild case gingivitis, I reccomend that you quit smoking."

I looked at him like a moron, I'm sure and asked....."Can you tell me why I'm having stomach problems?" His response was "Oh, I suggest you change your diet."

I tried explaining that in 4 years I have NEVER had any issues with my stomach and followed a VERY strict diet. He still let me go with no answers. This was 6 months ago.

My PCP is useless, never offers any advice and has no idea what to do because of his limited information on the surgery I had.

I recently went to see a dietician who put me on another diet. BAD IDEA!!!!

I saw her 5 days ago and have lost 15 lbs. I am freaking out  because I moved to BC from Ontario 6 months after my surgery and it seems like people here are all idiots!

I am now 135lbs, not healthy in the least...I wish I could post a picture with this message so you all can see how bad it is. I am skin and bone, my ribs can be counted no problem....as a matter of fact you can see the space in between every rib. I don't have any fat left on my body, my hair is almost gone because I'm now not absorbing ANY nutrients as it's all coming out.

A woman in a city near me died a very slow and painful death from the same problems I'm having. MSP (Provincial Health) won't cover the reversal surgery which is why she died.

Hs anyone had any problems like this? I just want to live my life, I'm 24.....married almost 2 years and I should be enjoying my life....not lying in bed hardly able to  move.

So please....I'm scared and out of options. If anyone has ANY information or advice, please let me know.

Email me at [email protected] or pleas reply to this post.

Thanking everyone in advance!!!

I am so sorry to hear what you are going thru.  Have you tried to call Barix and at least talk with Dr. Pop?  I understand it would be very hard for you to go to MI for an appointment.  But maybe they can offer you some advice.1 800 282 0066.

Keep fighting for answers!
