Why is peanut butter listed as a full food? It seems like it should be classified as a soft food.

My guess would be because two tablespoons of pb =190 calories and tons of fat.  Granted, it is vegetable fat.

Actually I talked to my dietician and she said that its only because it is pretty dry and hard to eat without liquids with it, is the only reason for it with DS patients, since there is not really restriction on fats and calories, just sugars and the worse carbs. for rouxen Y or lap bands i dunno what its considered

not sure but theres nothing wrong with it in my opinion...i ate 2 servings a day from the very beginning and was rewarded with very quick weight loss...nowadays i eat 3-4 tbsp per day plus another 1-2 oz of peanuts....sure there are alot of calories....and healthy fats, but there are much worse things to be eating...and it helps me reach my goal of 3200 cal/day, along with a bit of protein.
