Just went and bought some applesauce and couldn't find a package that said "sugar free" but instead it said unsweetened---is it the same thing?  Thank you!

It should be.  Double check the lable to make sure "sugar" is not in the ingredients.......it should just be apples and water (maybe some sort of preservative.  Sometimes it is labeled as "natural" also.

Applesauce can be with or without added sugar. As a natural products made from apples - it has natural sugar. So it it never a sugar free item.  eat in moderation. may cause dumping - even though it is natural sugar.
