Hair loss vitamin suggestions

I am 6 months post op.  I do take a multi vitamin and calcium.  I still track my protein intake and rarely go below my suggested levels.   I did try Nioxin for 60 days to no avail.   I have heard that anesthesia could cause hair loss, but at this point in my journey I was hoping to be regrowing hair, not loosing it.  Does anyone know anything about Biotin (sp)?   I look forward to hearing from anyone with suggestions....Kimberly

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift, and that is why they call it the present.

it took about 6 months post op before my hair stopped falling out.  Biotin (5000 mcg) once a day and a little more protein (closer to 90 gms a day) and it stopped.

I get my Biotin from Puritans Pride (online)  and it is cheap.

I have had hairloss from my medications before wls and now I am scared of losing what I was gaining.

I use the ENJOY hairline (it is awesome shampoo and conditioner I think better than Nioxin).

I am taking more protein in due to the hairloss scaring me.

You need to try the shampoo - you have to get it through a hairdresser though - I also used Nioxin vitamins before surgery and need to use them again after  I finish these chewables - but they are huge and need to be crushed.
