Measuring Protein

Hi! I was wondering how do you measure the amount of protein in your diet? I'm talking about when you reach the normal eating stage after your surgery. For example, how much protein is a small piece of chicken? Do you find that you still have to drink protein drinks to get the 70-90 grams? I'm really confused! Thanks!

The rule of thumb my surgeons office teaches is one ounce of a protein food equals 7g of protein. I look up actual values; but, if  I add up the weight and multiply by seven the result is always on target.

Hi! Thanks for the reply! Do you know of a good website to look up the values?
