Is regular Quaker cook and serve Oatmeal a 'complex carb or a simple carb' ??

I love oatmeal, is there a better kind? and where can I get it?

Thanks
Kris

I think GNC sells a special protein oatmeal.  I hate oatmeal, so I've never examined the nutrition facts box to know what all is in it.  But if you look on GNC online, I'm sure they should have it there where you can look at the details.  Or if you have a local GNC store, they carry it in the stores too.

Oatmeal is a complex carb. The best is "Steel Cut Oatmeal" You can get it at most gros stores. Old Fashion is next. Just stay away from instant oatmeal its been stripped of all it's nutrition.

Kashi Go Lean oatmeal has 9grams of protein and 8 grams of fiber. I eat this every morning and add a teaspoon of flax seeds. Love this stuff! Also, you can add protein powder to any oatmeal.

I am not a big oatmeal eater but I find if I take the Old Fashioned type and run it through the chopper a bit it makes it a finer grain then I cook it up in the microwave as directed, on the thin side and when I am done, I add a scoop of my flavoured protein power  and I have a healthy, warm nutritious meal.
