Help I am in need of a good diet to follow

Hi,
my name is Denise but everyone calls me Neece, I am looking to follow a diet before my operation,I dont have a date yet because my insurance company wants me and everyone else that has Horizon NJ  to diet and get weighed for 6 months before they schedule you,so here I am wanting to lose weight but dont know where to start. Does anybody have any ideas to start me off.I need help,,,,My nurtionist really didnt help me,she thought I was just coming for a letter of recommenedation,I dont need that till Feb.Any suggestions.

It's probably a good idea to start eating similar to how you'll eat after surgery.  Check out a diabetic diet or the South Beach diet.  High protein, low/moderate/good carbs, good fats.

South Beach rocks!  I vegetarianized it and lost 81 lbs pre op!    (in 10 months)

Start: 487 lbs (8/07) Lost 81 lbs pre op on South Beach. 406 lbs at surgery (6/08). 179 post op, by 2011. I  lost 308 lbs. Gained 98 while pregnant (2012-13) lost all but 25. My goal is to be 179 again!
