Hi all, I know this is something that is often discussed but this is the first time in 5 yrs of Iron infusions that I went back to oral iron.  I'm taking 6 Tender Iron and 2000mg Vite C with it
1500 mg Calcium (not with iron)  a vitamin D3, B-Complex, B12 shot once a month, 2 multi vites a day,  Just curious if some of you that have had the vitamin deficiency issues could give some advice.
These are my results
Iron is 64
Iron binding capacity is 364
B12 is 710
Ferritin is 14
Vitamin K is 201
Copper is 122
Vite D (25OH)  is 26

I could be wrong but you look low on vitamin D.

My last one came out at 46 ng/ml - the spread was 22-100.

You need to significantly increase your D3.  My level was 26 as well, and I am now taking 8000IU D3 daily along with 1600mg calcium citrate.
Next set of labs will tell if this is enough or not.  Some folks are on as much as 50,000IU per day.

We all need PTH levels done as well to determine if our bones are leaching calcium.  Your serum (blood) calcium levels will always be within normal range (in the absence of other diseases) because your body will automatically take calcium from bones to keep the blood level normal.  Calcium is necessary for muscles to work, the most important muscle:  the heart!

Thanks Cindy... I have some dry D3 now and I will increase the dose... I too took 50,000 IU but they were in little oil gelcaps and from the great info I have gotten from the group our bodies do better with dry. I'm curious if they are the same as far as dosing oil vs dry?  Do you split up your dose of D?

I believe the dry/oilbased doses are the same.  My daily regimen is 2 D3 (2000IUeach) in the am and pm.
