As of August 17th it will be a year since surgery, I have been doing pretty good except for the last month I have had trouble with my blood sugar levels dropping into the 50s has anyone else had this problem?

You may want to research reactive hypoglycemia.  In fact, I am up at this late hour, due to its effects.  If I have a carb riich eating session I will have the shakes,. sweats, weird feeling and I am sure my blood sugar drops.  I will then need to eat protein, so I am sitting here eating natural peanut butter and cottage cheese.  It is somewhat common in patients that have had our surgery.  It cannot be cured, but controled with smaller more frequest meals.  Good luck.

Thanks for the information.  I talked with my surgeron on Thursday and small frequent meals of protein is what he recommended.  I am willing to do anything at this point I don't like feeling out of control you wouldn't think a little to much sugar and carbs would do that to a person.
