I had VSG on March 31. I am progressing my diet. I am searching for more tasty, high protein foods. I love edamame. Is that okay to eat if chewed very well? If not now, is it ok to eat after I am on more regular foods?

It's OK on soft or regular stage. Not OK on liquid or pureed stage.

WHAT IS EDAMAME?

* Our family is a circle of love and strength. With every birth and every union, the circle grows. Every joy shared adds more love. Every obstacle faced together makes the circle stronger. The love of a family is life's greatest blessing.

Edamame are soybeans that are picked right before they harden. You can buy them frozen, still in the pod, or shelled. They are boiled in salted water and, if in the pod, you eat them by squeezing the beans out of the pod into your mouth. I usually would eat them as an appetizer before Japanese food. Never would have imagined liking soy beans, but they are very good.

I love edamame too!  Try them in the ziploc steamer bags, nuke them, then add a spray of butter and enjoy!!
