soy free shakes needed
Hay Lizzy - Well, since I last wrote to you, I have contacted the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda,MD about the shakes. They gave me clearance to use 100% Whey Gold Standard. It has only a trace of soy (lecithin).
I am not allergic to soy. But I don't eat it because I have a rare lung disease called LAM ( thelamfoundation.org ) and soy is not good for patients with that disease. However trace amounts are in about everything- but still, I do watch it. And since this powder is going to be my main staple for a while- I needed to make sure it was ok for me to have this.
I go to NIH 2 times a year to be studied for this rare disease only women get. No cure, no treatments...so they study it.
I have been running as fast as I could go all weekend, and have managed to loose one of my diamond stud earrings that my Mom gave me - so I'm pooped and wiped out emotionally. I sure hope I find that earring. I even had them re-mounted into screw-on backs so I would not risk loosing them....fat lot of good that 75.00 did me..... I'm so upset about it! I can get more diamonds, but my Mom gave me these.....they are special to me-
Today I went to Springfield, MO and bougt the protein powder and vit's and Calcium chews.
Good nighth! Brenda
Let me know how the pea protein powder does.....if it's good tasting or not..I still might order some of it later on if you say it taste good. Right now, Im just getting the 'staples' of everything. Cost a fortune! hahaha But, I know it is cheaper than what I've been eating and, all this will last me a long time. I've had the hardest time getting the right vitimins at the stores, next time I'm buying on line....it's much cheaper than driving all over the place!
Keep in touch,
Brenda
