I was wondering does anyone know what causes the white discoloration in your fingernails?

Hello nail discoloration is a sign of a vitamin deficiency. The best way to make sure you always have healthy nails is to eat a well balanced diet. and as always... you need to stay ontop of your vitamin intake  and take your vitamins everyday eat plenty of protein as well as fresh fruits and vegetables water intake is very important for you nails. Water adds moisture for nails. water also keeps the rest of your healthy make sure you are drinking enough throughout the day. don't get dehydrated. i recommend you to follow this up with your surgeon/nutritionist  and let them know you have some concerns about your nails. They might want to do a blood test and get a full vitamin check on you to see if you are low in any vitamin. call your surgeon good luck hugss Lizzy
