I'm 7 months out of surgery and I have hit a serious platue for almost 2 months now. I know part of it is my fault. Im eating alot of stuff I shouldn't. I guess i think that just because I don't eat alot of it its okay to eat it and boy am I starting to learn thats not right. I have been thinking of ways to jump start my metabolism again and I decided that I'm going to go back to the basics. I have decided to go on an all liquid /protien shake diet for 2 weeks. I know I will get getting in enough protien because 2 scoops of my protien has 50 grams. Plus it only has 1 carb and no sugars. I guess I just want to make sure that doing this isn't going to be a big mistake. I guess I want to try some way to trick my body back into action and nothing else I can think of will work. I have lost 85 pounds so far and still have around 40-50 to lose before my one year out. Can someone please help me out and give me some advice or let me know if this diet is not a good idea. I guess apart of me is so worried that Im starting to fail at this surgery and this is the only way I can' think of to get my life back on track. Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

You have the right idea of getting back to basics.....that is how everyone i know has "jump started" weight loss. Just go back and relearn how to eat. The stuff that was bad for you before is bad for you now. Even in small amounts. Remember the 2 bite rule, and be PICKY there is so much that is not worth eating.  One more thing, I was told your body can not take in more than 30 grams of protien at a time. That anything over that is just excess...not sure if this is right but its what I have been doin for almost 2 years and I have no prob maintaining my loss. I have had plastics, and I watch my intake like crazy......I DO NOT want to ever be fat again......I feel so good, and I will use my "tool" (pouch) to keep me here. If you need anything please let me know! Take care~ Jen
