Does anyone out there know of a list or website that tells how much protein grams are in our everyday food? Such as chicken, eggs, etc? The sites I see all vary, there must be one out there dedicated to the bariatric patient. Thanks Bonnie

www.calorieking.com is a great tool it is very user friendly compared to alot of the other sites and does not require you to sign up for anything to look foods up. Thanks! Olivia

Olivia, I went on the website and I can not see where you would look up protein amounts. I went all over the site.  Do you know the link or the catagorie I would go to? Thanks

you type in the specific food (like you'd type in the word egg) and it will give you a list to pick from.  You pick the closest one to what you were searching for and click on that.  It will give you the nutrition facts box which contains protein.  Here is what I get when I type in the words medium egg (then select one from the list): http://www.calorieking.com/foods/calories-in-eggs-medium_f-Y 2lkPTE2MDcxJmJpZD0xMzgyJmZpZD05MTIwNCZlaWQ9MjI3NTc4NTA4JnBvc z0yJnBhcj0ma2V5PW1lZGl1bSBlZ2c.html See how it gives you the nutrition facts box (including the protein count towards the bottom)?   The thing I like about these sites is that you can adjust the serving sizes on some things to exactly what you ate and it will calculate it for you.

I use: www.calorieking.com www.calorie-count.com www.thedailyplate.com  and here are some quick references of high protein foods: http://lowcarbdiets.about.com/od/whattoeat/a/highproteinfood .htm  http://www.highproteinfoods.net/  http://healthandfitness.com/bbs/forum/messages/8753.html  (I prefer the first set of sites because you can put in exactly what you ate and it does give the protein amount.)
