Protein Balls Info Needed
Someone posted a recipe for Protein Balls on the Lap Band Forum that she said she got on this forum. I'm wondering if anyone has calorie/nutrient information for them. The recipe is:
1 cup old fashioned oats
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup chocolate protein powder
5 packets Splenda
Microwave the peanut butter for a few seconds to soften it. Combine with rest of ingredients (add a bit of water if it is too hard to mix), then drop by spoonfuls on to a cookie sheet and refrigerate.
thanks,
Jean
I used the nut facts for the protein I use (an IDS powder) and for 20 balls from this recipe, I get the following:
calories: 115 (62 from fat)
6.5 grams of fat but only 1.5 are sat fat
6 grams of carbs (1.5 fiber, 1.5 sugars)
9 grams of protein

Jean, if you know how many protein balls this should make, you can use the recipe calculator found here: http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/home.asp
