If it's within your surgeon's guidelines, then go for it.  I eat a slice of Kraft 2% Deli Deluxe almost every day -- I prefer it's texture to the pre-wrapped slices.  I also enjoy string cheese - I buy the "light" version when I can find it.  Cheese is a good protein source and it's something many people tolerate well pretty early out from their surgery date.   Good luck on your continuing journey -  Kellie

I eat it with my breakfast egg every other day, have no problems digesting it, and am losing weight, so I'd say it's OK unless your surgeon or nutritionist expressly forbids it. Jean

Cheese is fine - and well tolerated as others say. Regognize that cheese is a higher fat food and should be accounted for in your daily goals accordingly.  Many people choose to limit cheese as they get closer to goal weight simply because it is so high in calories. Bottom line: If it fits in your daily goals, then it is fine!
