Hi Celia,    Are you a picky eater?  I have been trying to branch out and try new things.  Focusing on things that have protein, here are some of the things that I like to eat lately: low fat or fat free cottage cheese Jarlsberg Lite Swiss cheese (I get this at Sams and it is great!) Cabot 50% less fat Cheddar cheese Laughing Cow lite cheese (I usually spread this on a WASA cracker) low-fat ham slices (lunch meat type) egg white omelets (usually w/onion, mushroom, ham chopped up and swiss cheese melted in) scrambled eggs or egg beaters hard boiled eggs (mix into tuna or chicken salad or make egg salad w/lowfat mayo) refried beans (sometimes mixed with salsa or enchilada sauce and a little cheese) peas broccoli & corn mixture (with melted cheese on that too) all kinds of beans (black beans spiced up w/onion and green chiles are my favorite) small cans of tuna, chicken, or salmon (can mix w/lowfat mayo, hardboiled egg, pickles) quesadillas (usually 1 flour tortilla folded in half w/ham and cheese inside, salsa on top) Carbmaster (Kroger brand) Yogurt (this has more protein grams than others and usually I      mix in some All Bran Buds to add crunch and fiber) Tilapia fillet (I get these individually frozen at Sam's)  I'm not a huge fish eater, but this tastes      great to me and it has super high protein! Just some ideas to help keep you going.  We're in this for the long haul, so we need to keep trying new things so we don't burn out!  Good luck.

Go check out "theworldaccordingtoeggface" as she is a member on here and her blog is loaded with delicious recipes.  I have made a few of them and they were all delicious and she has healthy recipes and all sorts of ideas.  You might have seen her answer some messages on "rny board".  Her picture is eggs and bacon in a frying pan.  Hope this helps add some excitement to your meal planning.

I'm sure that you know that protein is VERY important for but things can get boring.  Celia has given you some great protein ideas.  For general guidelines for post-op RNY, you can also check out the info on the left side of this screen.   Happy Holidays!
