Vitamin deficiencies
I would recommend getting copies of all your lab results starting with the labs before surgery. Then put the results into an excel file. Watch the results and if they start dropping, increase the vitamin before you get too far below normal. The important labs are ferritin, Vit B-1, Vit B-12, Vit A, Vit D, total protein, and calcium. I recently asked my surgeon's office to run a Vit A and Vit D lab test. The NP called with the results and my Vit A was out of range and below normal. I was already taking dry Vit A, so I increased my A and will have to be retested soon. My D level was at the low end of normal so I increased my dry Vit D.
I take a B-100 capsule that has 100mg of all B vitamins. Good luck!
