The recommendation is 45% of your daily caloric intake. For example: a 1200 calorie diet wound equal to 135gm/day (1200 x .45 = 540 divided by 4).  Have you met w/ a dietitian? He or she would be helpful in estimating your total needs for the day specific to where you are in your journey!
