Probably a dumb question.. calcium chew calories?

My calcium chews (citrical creamy bites - calcium citrate in a chewable form) is 30 cals, I take 2 a day, should we be including this in our intake?  I never have.

Melissa, I have never had any of my patients include their chewable calcium supplements in their daily caloric intake.  Many of them simply consider it a treat...just find a flavor that you like! Cheers!

Ha I am just as anal.. I want to make goal so bad that to a calorie is a calorie yet those I tend to neglect just because.. lately I am having the scale move slower at 1000 cals then I started thinking.. those darn calcium chews add up.. lmao.. gosh!  Who woulda thought preop we would contemplate counting calories in a calcium chew?  hilarious!

I count them.  I also count the carbs (5gms) and the fat (1.5gms) too.  I too view them as a treat, although a neccessary one, but just like any treat they count.  You wouldn't not count a snickers fun size because it's just a "little" treat - it's only 72 calories (not that any of us would eat one of those) . Thanks Carla, I feel the same way yet its hard for me to stay under 1000 cals with the running I do but I guess I should drop it down to 900 to make room for these bugers.. thanks a lot.
