I think Lack of food has affected my brain... Can some of  you please refresh my memory. What are the types of things I am suppose to eat after gastric bypass for  soft other then scrambled eggs,  cottage cheese and deli meats? Then when I get to regular diet other then breads and carbs what am I to avoid? Can I have whole grain wheat bread or brown rice? Thanks Tonya

In general, the difference between soft diet and regular diet is FIBER. A soft diet would include white bread, white rice, canned fruits and vegetables, eggs, soft meat. A regular diet would include all those things but it could contain fresh fruit, fresh veggies, whole wheat bread, brown rice .... In general, once you are on a regular diet, you want to avoid: fried foods, high fat foods, sugary foods. For WLS, a regular diet is typically a low fat, low sugar, high protein diet. Good luck.
