I was wondering if anyone else has tried using this product? Is it safe for a RNY'er? What are the pros / cons?

http://www.cspinet.org/foodsafety/additives_stevia.html Stevia is marketed in the US and Canada as a supplement, so it has little regulation. I think the evidence is clear that a little Stevia is not a problem - a lot might be. So I attached a link where you can do your own research. In my opinion  the pros - it is sweet the cons - it is expensive & potentially harmful in a world where other sweeteners (like sucralose - which is also "natural") are widely available. The best decision for you, is the one you make yourself. I hope this information helps in your research!
