With the skin ... usually 3 months post operative.  If you are going to peal it and eat without the skin, then you can probably have it 4 weeks post operative.  If you puree it, or eat it in the form of applesauce, then, probably 2 days post op.   It's really the high fiber than can irrate your new anatomy (provide you've had WLS). It helps. I got my staples out yesterday and they said I could have peanut butter but I forgot to ask about apples. Thanks

Some surgeons don't recommend trying raw fruits/vegetables for the first few months because they can be harder to digest. As per apples...they are very filling, to this day I can only eat 1/2 at a time!
