I see on Amazon.com there is a new WLS cookbook: 'Recipes for Life After Weight-Loss Surgery: Delicious Dishes for Nourishing the New You', by Margaret Furtado, MS, RD, LD-N and Lynette Schultz. Has anyone purchased this book or heard anything about it? I'm thinking about getting it but was wondering if anyone else has it.

I have the book and have look over every recipe extensively.  What I like is that each recipe is for 4 servings, so that you can cook for your family.  It then breaks it down into portions for each type and stage of wls.  I am only 19 days post op, so I have not  been able to try out any of the recipes just yet, however, each recipe is designed to be able to eat it purred.  I hope this helps!

I have a cookbook that I just got today. It is called Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery. It sounds like it is similar to the one you describe. It has over 140 recipes. They all sound yummy. One of the simple recipes is Deviled Egg Salad it's ingredients are eggs, low fat mayo, dried minced onion, Dijon mustard, sweet or hot paprika, and salt and pepper to taste. To a little more complex ones like Braised Pork with Apples and onions. Those ingredients are: Pork Tenderloin, minced garlic, nutmeg, ginger, onion, granny smith apples, splenda, cinnamon, and water. Well I hope this helps. If you want to know more about the recipes in this book feel free to ask I don't mind sharing.

I already have the Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery cookbook by Patt Levine and I LOVE it.  My favorite recipe is Chicken Breasts Stuffed with Ham and Cheese.   I put in my order with Amazon for the other cookbook: 'Recipes for Life After Weight-Loss Surgery: Delicious Dishes for Nourishing the New You' and can't wait for it to get here.
