Maybe we can write to Diana and ask if there is something we can do to help?  How many people are willing to volunteer a few hours/week?

Well you know I would volunteer, but since I'm not recognized at their clinic, and they turned down my request for a visit to our support group, there's not much I can do.

I'm thinking that they wouldn't use volunteers because all the information that they receive about patients is of a confidential matter.  I certainly think that they need someone to be there full time in an administrative position but having many fingers in the "pot" just would most likely cause problems too.  Operating room time is also a problem.  We need more doctors to look after the Obesity Clinic to get these patients through without such a long wait time.  WLS is not the only department that is backlogged with surgery time, there are lots of people waiting for different types of surgeries and it is unacceptable.
