I have been on the waiting list for over 3 years, went to the info session last August, had my appointment here in Halifax yesterday, was accepted for the surgery and now am anxiously awaiting the appointment to see the surgeon and get the surgery date. I am sooooooooo excited to look forward to having some quality back in my life. Woohoo!!!!!!

We are having a support group meeting on Sunday in Lr. Sackville if you would like to attend. I'm sure you're going to have lots and lots of questions!

what do you wanna be when you grow up little girl? i wanna be a loser and sit on the bench sir! (45 lbs lost pre op) 300lbs starting weight, currently 141lbs! Lowest has been 135lbs and hoping to get back to that.

Thanks everyone!! I was excited before I joined this site, but after reading all of the encouraging posts and looking at the before & after pictures I am so psyched up for this. They had me start the 1200 calorie pre-surgery diet and I can say that at least the first day felt pretty good. At least no hunger pains, I just feel waterlogged. LoL
