 Good day all, 

So I've had a look at a lot of NS and Atlantic Canada's blogs about the VSG (which is what I desire) and from what I am seeing there is certainly some wait time for Dr Ellsmere.  Although this upcoming Thursday I am requesting  a referral from my family doc to get on the list for the surgery, I am not opposed to having the surgery earlier and paying for it.  I've contacted Diane Lawlor and she has indicated to me that she is not aware of any surgeons who perform the surgery if the patient wants to pay.  Okay so that's fine.  So I'm just beginning to look at some spots in Quebec.  Who is the best for the VSG and what is the cost.  I know it's approx. $12-20G but what did you pay?  Any suggestions?  
Another question if anyone knows, for those with comorbidities, how long did you wait from the day you were referred?

I dont' know anything about the pay system and Quebec.

I waited 53 weeks from the time I went to the info session to having surgery.
