Yay non scale victory for me! Dressing up to go to a Bday party and the 3 prs of dress pants I bought last yr are all to big! Most of my clothes are that way no. Looks like I need some size 20 but I dont want to buy until 18. Need to find someone that does alterations. Made my day!

Yikes.  Good luck with your colonoscopy.

we too are doing yard work.  When I get off of here I am going to go run then finish up the laundry.  Since I am going to be down a few weeks I have been cleaning my house like a mad woman...not much left to do.  Next Sunday I will have one last cleaning day then it is on the hubby!  I have been deep cleaning all month.

I am just going to share what I do in those "oh my goodness I must eat that..." Moments.  I am not pushing this just putting it out there.  I pray.  I tell you I have prayed so much on this journey...I read a book and did a program called "Made to Crave."  It made a big difference for me and sure taught me to rely on something other than my "will power"

I also totally agree with the others about healthy snacks.  I eat about the same thing everyday so when a hunger attack strikes I just go choose one of the foods..cucumbers, yogurt (which I leave in the fridge and take bites of through the day), or figs.

you can do it!  :)

Wow... was this a blast from the past! In all honesty, I did not do very well on the crack the fat loss code, and I have been on quite a journey since then! I actually have lost a great deal of weight (120 lb's) and I am now working on getting my certification as a holistic health coach! You are so right about the support thing! Let me know if you have any questions or if there is anything I can help with!

Hi, Michelle. I see your post is quite old, and I was wondering how you did on Wendy Chant's diet. My sister and I (dad too) went on her regimen in July of 2009. We found it fun (doing it together), energizing, and I even caught myself responding to my sister's comment when she said "it's time for our lunch".....I said "we have to eat, again?" My sister and I both lost the 16 pounds in the first two weeks as she said we would, although my sister took longer to make her first good drop in pounds. Dad just enjoyed our company, since we were spending that summer month with him. I'm a senior citizen now, and believe that support in almost anything you do with uncertainty, is necessary. Wendy's first two weeks were quite healthy eating for me, and there was  not one day that I had all six of the scheduled meals.

As an ex smoker of 11 years I would suggest turning to healthy snacks over cigs. Smoking is such a difficult addiction to break and there is no such thing as a healthy cigarette. Even after 11 yrs I still fight the occasional urge. I am still obese but I was even more obese bk then so don't let your mind go to thinking a smoke will stop u from eating and you'll be skinnier. It doesn't work that way! Healthy cut apples, nuts, seeds carrots celery, cheese other fruits and sugar free mints and gum my help oral cravings. For physical maybe you could do crafts, knitting, painting, coloring or even blogging on line. I once had a Dr who told menthat it was healthier to be obese than to be an obese smoker! Take care and please post again to let us know how you are doing. Deb
