Topic: RE: WW Weigh-In #2
Hi Sherrie, you're still doing well - you're sticking to the WW, you did shed some weight and even if you didn't get to your water aerobics - you're still thinking and concerned about it.
I found it helpful when I first started on my shedding weight journey to focus more on the positive changes that I was making and not so much on trying to rapidly shed weight. Take pride in all the good changes that you're doing and give yourself a big cyberhug from me (((HUGS)))).

Topic: RE: Medifast
Hi Janeene, I did a medically supervised Medifast many years ago - when I did it, it was 5 shakes for the day, no other food. DH and I started with a group of other people and by the end of the week all the other people had dropped out of the program. It is extremely hard to stick to the diet, especially at the very begining - the minute you eat some solid food you just don't want to drink only shakes. OTOH once you get into the routine it does get a little easier. We also exercised. I lost 100 pounds in 6 months - wish I had kept it off. After 2 years I started to gain a lot of weight - until I gained 200 pounds. The main thing was I didn't plan maintance properly - this time the way I'm eating to shed my weight is the same way I will eat for the rest of my life. My diet is part of a major permanent lifestyle change.
Both DH and I have tried to go back on Medifast over the years but we couldn't last more than a day or two. It is very hard on your body, so make sure you have medical supervision.

Hi Trisha and welcome back. Good to see you're back on board with your diet. Certainly shedding that excess weight will make it easier to keep up with your kids.

Hey Molly, you're doing so well with the exercise - doesn't it feel good to be back on track?
I just got my usual 5 mile walk in today. Some days I really look forward to the walk but other days I just want to stay home in front of the tv and hibernate. Today was one of those days but I pushed myself to go and I'm so glad I did - it feels good when you're done.
Ruth, I hope your legs are doing better today. I know you're holding off heavy duty exercising so you can heal.

That was a great re-fresher for me!
Can I add one more?
"Muscle weighs more than fat." I get tired of hearing people say this. A pound is a pound. Muscle is more dense than fat and therefore takes up less space.

Week #1: 10.8lb lost
Week #2: .8lb lost
Well, it's not 10lb but I'll take it. I ate within my points again all week, but with the addition of many more carbs (mostly whole grains). I'm insulin resistant and guess I'll learn sooner or later that I just don't tolerate those carbs well anymore. Back to basics this week!
I also didn't get to my water aerobics all week....that makes a big difference for me.
