I did it a few years ago for about four months. It works but honestly is best if you don't have to cook for others. My biggest problem with it was the cost, it is like any diet if you go back to the old way of eating the weight will come back fast. As far as the actual product, the oatmeal was gross, soups...chicken was OK the others were honestly real bad. Many people try recipes with the products and I think that hurts you. The shakes were OK more filling than say slim fast shakes. I was never hungry on this diet.

Oh no Ruth, take good care of those wonderful new legs - you just bought them LOL
I can't even remember what I did Tuesday LOL - and it's only Wednesday.

Welcome back. I like to come daily as part of my routine to keep on board with my diet. Sometimes it's not about shedding the weight, but about making healthy choices.
Maybe you might want to post about the things that you find hold you back and we can offer suggestions - I bet something like this would help all of us. There is a lot of wisdom here.

Hi Mrs Dodge - glad to welcome you and look forward to seeing your future posts on your journey.
I don't know about you, but when I followed a diet where I had to weight or measure my food it was a shock because I thought I knew how much I was eating LOL clearly not.
As for that early morning treadmill - ugh that is really hard. If I had a dollar for every time DH and I planned to do it and didn't - well we would be really, really rich. I found it just easier to get our walking in right after work before dinner - and then dinner is something quick to make or already prepared and just heated to serve.
If you do get started on that morning treadmill routine - then I bow down to you...
and hope you can do it.

(((HUGS))) It is hard to start and to find both the time and the energy. But you should be proud that you've made a start. If you keep doing it the kids will begin to respect your routine, and maybe the 7 year old will join in if it looks like fun.
The bonus will kick in a few days when you start to have more energy - but it's so hard to get over that humongous hump. Look around for places where you can add exercise seamlessly so it just become second nature - taking stairs at work, parking farther away from the entrance etc. They are little things that add up.
I know you can do it because not only have you started but you're thinking about how to keep it up.

lol Jody
You are right! Being proactive and trying to move forward, even if we sometimes take a few steps back.... it's better than the alternative, which is to surrender and give up!
No more giving up on myself!

Hi :)
Thank you! I will pop in more often. I see myself as a failure when i fail at losing weight, or i gain weight, it usually takes me a very long time to get out of that head space, and give weight loss another go. This is something i'm trying to change. I'm trying to change the way i see myself.
It doesn't matter if this is the 1000th time i have tried to lose weight, it very well could be the 1 time i succeed! I'm not doomed, there is hope!!

Every little bit helps.....keep trying to fit it in whenever you can and I'm sure you'll see some results soon. Maybe you can get the 7 yr old to join you when you do the exercise DVD....
