I can see changing your exercise routine can also be good too.

I wish I could wave a magic wand and all of us would drop all the weight we wanted to shed. LOL But I don't know where to get such a wand.
I think your goal is very doable - mine I think isn't realistic.
I didn't realize it made a difference. Her starting weight was about 385 but she lost alot before coming to ww.
Congratulations on your success. I wonder how successful I'll be 6 years out. I'm envisioning great things and trying hard to develop and hold onto good habits to make it happen. Stay encouraged and see you around my wls friend.
Try something new.
There comes a time when what you are doing stops working. Then its time to try something new--whether that "something new" is stepping up your exercise routine, changing your diet, or getting more information on an aspect of recovery you know little about.
Human nature is to like doing things the way you've always done them. Change is tiring and scary. Yet change can be a good thing. It helps you grow (or shrink as the case may be). You may need to get a personal trainer to help you develop a new exercise routine or see a nutritionist about adjusting your menu. When the tried-and-true stops working, it's time to try something new.
Action for the day: Have some things in your routine stopped working? If so, research what you can do differently.

So for me head issues is a must. Once I figure out the why's and a prevention system then I can go ahead and successfully reach my goals for a life time. This is the hardest piece or key to weight loss. If you notice many programs are now adding this key to their programs.
Thanks for making me rethink this again. Your reminders are very helpful and you are truly an inspiration to me and you make me believe I can re-lose my weight and reach the goal I never met after my WLS!!
My goal for July is no more YO-YOing. I want to be more consistent with eating. I want a maintain or lose. I want to lose at least 8 pounds just because I am still a size where this is a realistic and reasonable goal. Meanwhile, I will continue with my exercising which I can't complain about at all. I am back up to exercising almost every day, including weight training and avg 50+ min of cardio exercises. What are your goals for the month of July? Please share.
Weigh****chers would have approved the 250 if your friend had weighed over 400 pounds or more. I know this because they did it for a friend of mines who weighed 460 prior to weigh****chers. They go by some type of percentage weight. If they did not do this they would have too many people and doctors setting too many goals and they would lose too much money. Just as already stated it is a business and they can't have everyone setting goals without them making enough money on you. It is what it is. If your friend is comfortable at 250, she could join TOPS when she gets to 250 and they will help her maintain 250 weight. 250 is still a healthier weight than 300 plus no matter who you slice it. Hopes this helps give you and your friend a different perspective.

If you do try it, please come back and let us know how it's working.
