Topic: Lose my re-gain!
I had WLS in 8/06 and lost 115 lbs.  Starting in 9/08 I have been slowly regaining 80 of those lbs.  Any advice on how to lose beyond the usual?

Topic: Atkins or Low-Carb Curious?
 Hi everybody!

New Group! -- http://www.obesityhelp.com/group/atkins/

We will be discussing low-carb / high-protein / Paleolithic / high-fat / Atkins eating programs!

Several OH members have posted questions or comments about the Atkins program, and also about high-protein, or low carb, or high-fat dieting.  Some people are interested in trying it to lose weight, or to refine their weight-loss, or just get carb cravings or blood-sugar under control.

This new group will provide information and support for those who would like to try this way of eating.

Even though I had WLS three years ago, and am thoroughly pleased with my Roux-en-Y, it has become necessary to get my sugary-foods cravings under control.  I still dump like a Mack truck, but have found other carbs slipping unhealthfully into my eating, and dearly wish to lose a little more weight.

So -- I'm "doing" Atkins again (it was effective for me in the past).  If you are also researching this way of eating, come give the new group a shot!

Come join us!
Interested in low-carb nutrition?  Thinking of trying Atkins? Want to try high-fat and/or high-protein eating?  Whether or not you have had (or are thinking about) WLS   http://www.obesityhelp.com/group/atkins/

Topic: 5 Tips For A Good Weight Loss Plan
The first step for healthy weight loss is to create some sort of weight loss plan.

I know that sounded a little vague, but your weight loss plan does NOT have to be something that only NASA could understand or approve.

YOUR weight loss plan should include such simple things as what activities (exercise) you are going to indulge in, when, where, and so on. You will want to outline your weight loss goals, long term goals as well as short term goals. You will need to outline what your strategy will be for nutrition...notice I DID NOT say "diet"!

Have any of you heard of the powerful movement called the 90 day challenge?  It's very simple, easy to follow, inexpensive, tastes real good, and people are getting amazing results.  My husband and I are taking the challenge.  He has lost 30 lbs and I have lost 17 and we are on day # 28.  We are ecstatic.

Hi Kristin,

Nice to meet you too!  I'm Cindy.  I've been exploring surgery, but am too afraid of the long term complications.  I'm working on losing about 120 or so myself.  I've been doing ok the past 3 weeks, but am a bit off today, but I can get right back on my program tomorrow.  Just struggling with it this week.

Welcome and I'll try to check in more so we can chat and support each other.
