Topic: at a speed bump, and I need support...
my history. I love starting a new "diet" love the first 2-3 weeks of workingout! i get a "high" feeling and the muscle soreness is verry little. but with every other time I have tried to loose weight I hit a speed bump, lose all motivation and either give up and gain back or just plain give up and stop trying.

Last Aug I lost my insurance to get the band. My friends wife AKA "wify" (whom I despise, sorry i just do) decided she wanted to loose weight also. we were going to do a challange but never did the initial weigh in. But I lost weight, about 40lbs. I was estatic. then I couldnt go to the gym. every possable excuse you can think og I had, then it was "I'll start back on..." but that never came, then the holiday**** Wify signed up for WLS and for some reason my motivation came back, full force.
Yes I have a sadistic side and that side is in full force mode!

2 weeks ago I started going back to the gym 5 days a week, I had a tooth pain I was on a liquid diet, then jusy couldnt eat... I lost 10 lbs, the 5 I gained back from the holidays, and 5 more. I also did my measurements, I had lost about 10 inches off my body, but gained back about 4! Alass I have hit my road block! with out air bags!!!

I had to start eating again, i was/am never hungry, I still went to the gym but would be there either fewer times in the week or for less time when I was there... I gained back 6lbs!!!!! to top it off my friend informes me how much his wife is losing on a regular basis...
A) I am okay with WLS if you are doing it for your health, she got it because she "wanted to look good" B) my friend doesnt know comments like that bother me.

LOGICALLY I know that she is going to lose faster due to her WLS, logically I know my lbs are going to flucuate because of A) my cycle, and B) I am weight lifting 3x a week.

ILLOGICALLY- I wanna see results! I want to eat every sweet in sights. I look in my pantry though and try something... nothing satisfies my hunger. SO, io walk away. I yell at myself in the mirror when I dont go tot the gym every morning. I berate myself when I dont spend as much time on the treadmill.... all the distructive behavior that will make me not want to go anymore, and thus END my weightloss...

I have family that tells me I am losing weight and I should keep it up. As I have said I know what is logical, and illogical, but try as I may, I feel bad about not losing as much as she is, or at all right now! I want to stop going because if I am not "dieting" then there is nothing for me to compare her to.

Im sorry if this is hard to follow, in short... I am at the point in my regiment, that I usually quit. I need support to keep up the exercise.

Topic: Try Zija
Hello everyone I havent been posting in awhile, but have been reading quite a bit. I just wanted to let you know that I have tried this product called Zija, its amazing. It has Moringa in it that helps give you natural energy and suppress your appetite. At this time I feel it has really helped me. It comes in a tea to detox,a vitamin liquid to help w/diseases and ailments, and a pill that I love. You can go to www.drinklife.com for more info or www.zija.com  and I hope you try it. It is a little pricey but right now I'm just taking the pilss and drinking the tea, and let that last me. Hope this helps!

Topic: Heavy - on A & E...
For those out there looking for inspiration, wanting to lose without surgery, I suggest HEAVY - a show on A & E.

The show will be following (I believe) twenty-two people, showing two on each episode, over a six month period -- learning how to lose the weight & learn how to live a healthy lifestyle.

I saw it last night, and enjoyed it.  Hard work, determination, and a willingness to allow others to teach them how to change their lives, it was inspiring.

Anyone else see it?  It shocked me that anyone really eats six cheeseburgers and three orders of chicken nuggets, but I guess there are those out there.  Ha ha, I know a pint of Hagen Daaz is FOUR servings, but in "other life," it was more like two servings.

Topic: RE: Need help getting past the nightly sweets craving?
Even though I have a band, it doesn't stop the chocolate craving.  One thing that helps me  is I eat a dill pickle.  Works everytime.  Good luck.

I use the same app and although I don't really crave chocolate occasionally I indulge.  I've found the Hershey's dark chocolate kisses kinda hit the spot for wanting sweets and you can have 9 for 180 calories.

How successful has LoseIt been for you?  I've been having pretty good luck so far.

I see you are scheduled for WLS, how are you doing with all your other requirements? I find the best way to get motivated is to find something you like to do activity wise. Zumba or Jazzercise can be great because it's dancing (what woman doesn't like to dance?) and the routines change before you get bored. My worst problem is getting bored; that's why DVDs never worked for me. Plus when you're in a group setting (I at least) work harder because I think the instructor is wanting me to lose weight and is trying to make us work harder/motivate the class.
I like to bike ride too; the local trails allow me to ride and enjoy nature. Too bad the trails are covered in snow now!

I am using the LoseIt app on my iPhone to help me count calories. It's been great so far in helping me decide what to choose to eat, but after dinner I almost always kill the calorie count with chocolate. It pains me that I work hard all day to keep on track but once I'm home and with my husband in front of the tv, I can't stop myself. Anyone have suggestions?

Hi Kristin & Cindy! Have you two started holding eachother accountable? How did you fare over the holidays? I'd like to loose about 50 lbs, and would love some help and friendship along the way.

Topic: RE: Diet Pills
my primary care doctor tried me on phentermine. I was one of 500 patients on it and I was the only one to GAIN weight. just my luck! I only took them for 60 days because they werent working so why go the full 90 allowed.

As for alli, my surgeon just told me tuesday that the fda is taking it off the market due to liver failure, but i just saw a tv commercial on it so I dont know. I wouldnt take it anyway. I have diarrhea all the time anyway, why take something that is going to make it worse.
