Gained weight!
When I weighed myself on Saturday morning, I found that I had gained a pound over this past month. It's not a whole lot, but I feel I need to make changes. I decided to switch from OA's Basic Food Plan #1 to Basic Food Plan #2. It has a little less protein, more vegetables, and half the carbs. I hope this will help stimulate my body to start losing weight again.
My father is out of the hospital. They found fluid in his lungs, and removed it with a needle. He is an outpatient now. He's not allowed to drive yet, so my sister is still staying with them, and helping out with groceries, appointments, etc. She is going to call the hospital on Monday, and find out more specifics about the kind of food plan my dad has to follow. It is a "renal" food plan. She looked at the amounts he was allowed, and came to the conclusion that he would lose more weight if he ate that little. He's already a skinny old man, as it is. She also wants them to consider using SCAT, which is a senior citizens bus to take you to appointments, and so on. My dad doesn't want to think about that yet, but my sister is determined. My husband feels she should let my parents deal with it when the time comes, instead of trying to push the information on them. What do you all think? I do see both his and her points.
