Hi guys... I just got home from a "surprise" road trip with my fiancee. He took me to Maryland to visit some friends of his for a couple days. It is SO hard to behave during road trips -- especially since I had no time to 'prepare'. Had I known where we were going, etc etc... I would've gotten a whole bunch of fruit veggies all made up and ready for travel. Mark wasn't thinking that way, and thought it would be okay to live off of Dunkin Donuts and McDonalds for four days...
So four days without my vitamins, my protein drinks, and wwithout eating right, and I'm back up to 173 AGAIN. I know I'll be back down to 169 in no time, but I just want to get PAST the 169 mark soooo bad, and I've been getting caught up in my surroundings lately, rather than pushing myself to break through the 160's.
Starting -- 250
Current -- 173
GOAL -- 140
Let's hope for a better week this time around!

It is so ridiculous that I can't break the 380 lb. mark. Basically, stayed at the same weight all of March. Weight yesterday was 383.
For April, goal is to get down to 370 - 375. Should be easy, but I thought it would be a piece of cake to get to that weight in March.
April challenge is vacation at the end of the month - a week in San Diego. So I guess my goal is to get to 375 before vacation on then hold at that weight.
I've started writing down what I eat (using Fit Day). I've rebelled internally against doing that. But I think it is necessary. Pushes reality into my face.
Hope all of you are well. I'm so happy it is finally spring. Ann, belated congratulations on your 100 lb. milestone. That is awesome! Karen
Hello all,
It will get better, just hang in there guys........
I actually had a 2 pound lost this week. I re-started my twice a day workout because of the spring weather, I can get a power walk in at work.
Have a great week !!!
Phyllis -2 153 pounds........
300/153/ goal was 155-150 now back down to 145
hi there CJ,
You know, I really don't want to answer this thread this week! I want to ignore it and pretend it's not here. But I will answer it, even though I don't want to.
Sometimes I wish I can explain the fluctuations by saying I ate something bad, or lots of things bad, or that I fell off the wagon, etc. But I can't say any of that. So it's even more frustrating when the scale flucuates up, and there is no explanation other than the changes in our own bodies.
Last week I was at 233, this week I am at 234.5. My gyn started me on Ortho Evra in yet another attempt to stop this bleeding I am having all month. I had a whole cycle of Prometrium which brought on a wicked heavy bleeding, but right afterwards the breakthrough bleeding started again. So the side effects of birth control is water gain, hence my fluctuation. I don't even NEED birth control because I had a tubal ligation 13 years ago, but they use this to control bleeding.
So, I am up 1.5 pounds, with no real tangible explanation. I know it will come off but it's godawful frustrating when it's happening.
The good news is that I got into a pair of 16 capris, 16 Regular, not even Womans. I was totally stoked. I also went shopping and found some XL shirts that were just too big. And I also realized that I cannot shop in the plus size stores like the Avenue or Lane Bryant anymore!!!
So while frustrated I know that it's not a gain, merely a fluctuation. But it was enough to hope that this thread wasn't posted!!!
I hope everyone has a GREAT week.
Donna
Hi All,
Not sure what I weigh, because I was too chicken to get on the scale. I BLEW it this week, so I will let you know. I am going to take the lead from Donna and CJ, show some guts and report the truth.
So I will weigh myself in the morning and post then. I know it is bad. I will have to give up my Century club card
Ann
Hi,
I have not been on a scale since surgery. But the surgeon said he took off 6.7 pounds of skin. And then he put some in for the breast. I am still some swollen. So I am not certain where my weight it going to end up. I am still following my eating program. My blood count was good. I did not need any blood transfusion even after 12 hours of surgery. Eating healthy is really good for you for so many reasons.
