This past week has been a rough one... lots of stress, very very busy, no time to excersize AT ALL.
It's very true that stress puts on weight. This week I turned 30 years old. All week I had friends/family wanting to "celebrate" -- which meant making NOT the best food choices and a whoooooole lota alchohol. Also... I haven't been able to eat anything cold -- for some reason, my tummy didn't like it. Sooooo I didn't even have a single salad all week long.
I ended up gaining three pounds this week... It's discouraging yes, but at the same time reminds me again, of why I decided to change my lifestyle in the frist place -- because my body can't handle life any other way.
Anyways... here's my Saturday Stats:
***CURRENT: 172
Starting Weight: 250
As of 1/1/06: 188
Goal: 140
+3 lb since Last Week (3/4/06)
My goal for this week, is to get rid of those 3 pounds that I put on this week... and THEN drop one more. Lets hope to see 168 on the scale next Saturday!!!

Hi CJ,
I think you have the right attitude - just go right back to the good eating habits that you have been using all along. I think that birthday week always leads to a little more eating and celebration. But you must have felt good starting your 30's so slender.
I had a pretty good week. I travelled and managed to hold things pretty much the same - maybe a 1 lb loss. BUT - I have a new scale and it differs from the old one. So, I picked up a few "bonus lbs." due to that.
All in all, not a bad week.

Nancy,
Good job on managing during travel... I know that can be very difficult at times.
I know I hate using different scales. Although, I feel like those "dial" ones aren't very accurate at all. I felt myself losing but the dial wasn't moving. So I went out and boughta digital one... sure enough, the digital one gave a more accurate reading, AND it's easier to REALLY see when you're losing.

Oh Karen you can do it! I know you can! Increase tha****er intake! I want you to have a big tall cup of water (or big 1 litre bottle) by your side at ALL times this week. Ya hear me!?! Keep it with you everywhere you go and everything you do. Take little sips all day long. You'll see that you wont even realize the amount of water you'll be drinking if you just sip on it constantly throughout the day.

Holly...
First off let me congratulate you on making the decision to make that journey towards a better life.
Whatever your meal plan is... stick to it! The most important thing to remember is that this is not a "diet", it's a way of life. Most of us around here have changed our lifestyles... and for the better!
Eat to LIVE... not live to eat!
Get yourself on that treadmill... and even if you start at just 15 minutes a day, at least your moving more than you were before! That is key... get yourself ACTIVE, little by little. Don't go all out full swing... becuase you will burn out and lose ambition. SLOWLY ween yourself into it.
Best of luck! And you'll find that the support around here is TOP SHELF!! The people are wonderful, supportive, and inspirational... you will find yourself at home in no time!!
