Hi there folks,
I stayed the same this week. There is some good and some bad in that. Good because I can finally maintain a weight that isn't as high as it used to be, and bad because I still have 40 pounds to go to goal!!!!
So, stats still remain
Lost this week - 0
Starting weight 342
Current weight 240
total lost -102
Pounds to goal - 40
I wouldn't trade it!!!!
Have a wonderful day!

Hello all.....
I weighed in at 156......... down one pound from last week.
I am getting really frustrated...... I want to be in the 140's......
I workout really really hard..... I have to be losing inches because everyone's says that I am tiny !!!! And I am in a size 8.
In any event, this plateau is going to have to break here soon....

Hi All,
I thought I had posted this but perhaps it got lost somehow.
Anyway, this was my first full week of being on this board. I had a good week and lost about 5 lbs. I know I have a long way to go and I am trying to be patient. After all, I did not put it on overnight.
Starting weight 300
Current Weight 289.2 (as of Sunday morning)
Goal 150
I lost about 5 lbs this week as I had a little loss that I carried forward from the first of the year.

Hi All,
Finally, Finally, Finally, I am back in the trenches as Mauren says I went from 222 to 217. So I lost 5 of the 10 that I gained back. It was a great week. I feel strong and for whatever reason I am confident that I have another good week ahead of me.
Thanks for all your support during my struggle of the past few months.

Hi guys,
I had an "argh" weekend. Was a shade below 205 on Saturday morning, got mad at myself, worked out and ate lightly, and weighed in at a shade under 206 on Sunday.
Don't you hate it when that happens?
Oh well, back to the drawing board. I've been mostly drifting between 203 and 206 lately, with the scale not staying DOWN like it should. I feel like this is a real plateau, that my body is getting comfy here, and I have to try a modification to what I'm doing to address it--more exercise, less fruit, more water, something. Very frustrating--I'm so close to 200--but i still want to lose lots of weight. Argh.

Hey Liz...
Try these things for a few weeks and see how it works...
1.) Increase your water intake. Whatever you're drinking now, double it. Cut out all other beverages, except tea (Black and Green Tea okay, and Milk in the AM)
2.) Cut back your fruit intake to only before noon. Same goes for the rest of your carbs as well. Only in the am. Afternoon -- protein and veggies.
3.) Eat more often. Don't go more than 3 hours without eating. Keep that metablism running!! Going without food for more than 2.5 hours causes your metablism to slow down and prepares for "famine mode" which means that it stores everything you DO eat as fat, instead of burning it as energy like it should.
4.) And this is a given, but excersize doesn't hurt. The more you excersize, the more you body WORKS to burn calories when you're NOT moving. Does that make sense?? As you excersize your body's fat burning parts are moving rapidly... well, the more often you excersize, the more frequently those fat burning parts are moving around when you're not excersizing as well.
Try those little tricks over the next few weeks and let me know how you make out. Remember, whatever methods you chose for yourself, STICK TO IT. No progress is made by floundering around.
