New from main board
Hi, all
Just decided to try one more time to change my eating and exercising habits, before embarking on major surgery.
Yes, I have both Medicare and Medicaid, but I just can't quite wrap my head around the rewiring of the R-N-Y until I give it one more great big try.
I have a very good and well-balanced diet given to me by a nutritionist and an excellent treadmill my mom gave me. Also, I stopped smoking for surgery and now I can actually breathe! . Also I downloaded fitday.com to keep track of everything.
Now all I have to do is wait for my mouth to heal from my emergency oral surgery (pulled 2 teeth) yesterday. Had 2 lose teeth and 1 was abscessed.OUCH!!
Will check in again and let you know when I get started and I'll be here daily looking for your messages.
Nice to meet you,
Holly

Welcome to the board! Wishing you the best on your journey!
Hi Holly,
Welcome. I just joined this board about a week ago and I find that it is great place to get both ideas and support. You will love it.
I was at the same place as you are. I decided that the WLS was just not for me. When I learned more about how "the insides" were changed, I just worried that it would have long term implications that I could not live with. That is not to say that it is not the right choice for some people - it is just not the right choice for me.
So, I wish you the best of luck in your journey.
Nancy
