Maybe a little jealous
Ann, you are doing incredibly well. Nothing much for you to be jealous about, but of course I think that we all think that there must be something that must/could be easier.
But there is no such thing as easy when it comes to weight loss I'm convinced of it. Maybe faster. But not easier.
I think of it as series of trade-offs. I eat more than WLS person? I don't lose weight. I choose not to have surgery? I don't lose quickly, but I get to maintain my digestive system in its old form, for better or worse, without a major hospital stay, etc..
I guess my point (and I do have one) is that our bodies are programmed to maintain rather than lose. *Any* loss for us non-WLS folk is a victory of our will over millions of years of evolution. A loss as enormous of yours is a major win.
And you can't necessarily compare yourself to the WLS people because, in many ways, they have taken a different road, with different problems and challenges. It might look faster or easier at times, but in the end, the question is the same "how are you going to take care of the body that you have?" It is how well you answer that question that determines where you end up, not whether or not you choose WLS.
But yes, if you're asking, I'd love to lose weight faster.
