Alrighty it's that time again!! This week has been MUCH better for me than last week... now that the flu bug is out of my system I started to return to normal -- still haven't gotten enough excersize in though, I only did it twice this week (eeeep). Goal for next week is to increase excersize. And here it is: Saturday Stats! ***CURRENT: 171!!!!! I can't beleive I'm SO close to the 160's -- I haven't seen a 160-anything number since I was in junior high school!!!!!!!!!! Starting Weight: 250 As of 1/1/06: 188 Goal: 140 -4 lb since Last Week (2/18/06) -17 lbs down since Jan 1 -79 lbs gone forever! 11 lbs until my next mini-goal of 160! 21 lbs until the CENTURY MARK! 31 lbs until GOAL!! *CJ*

Hi there CJ, Congrats on keeping those numbers down and I'm glad that you are feeling better. Current: 240 Down -1 from last week's weigh in. the scale actually moved from 239 to 240 to 239.1 so I settled on 240. It's this water fluctuation. I had my period this past week so I know it's all settling. I was happy to see the scale dip below 240, that was a big WOW for me. But learning about my scale and how it messes with me, I chose the 240 to stick at for this week. Starting weight 7/7/2005: 342 Todays weight: 240 Goal: 200 I hope everyone has a most wonderful rest of the weekend. I'm off to the gym now!!! Donna

Donna... I must tell you... you're doing a really great job and you have a JUST the right attitude -- positive and realistic. I read your post about "you must be so proud" and haven't had a chance to respond... but I hear what you're saying totally. But really, you SHOULD be proud of yourself -- you've done (by YOURSELF) what VERY few people have the ambition to do on their own. That my dear, is a very daunting task and most become overwhelmed and quit before they start. I completely understand what your saying about "other things to be proud of". I too feel the same way at times -- I'm divorced raising my son on my own, have a college degree, going back for my masters, etc etc... lots of things about ME to be proud of. But at the same time, I look out there at how many other people have accomplished those types of things... alot. I'm not so different from them. Then I look at my weight loss -- how many people do you know of, who have had 100+ pounds to lose and had the amition, drive, and self-control to do it themselves? I can't count them on my hand -- the only one's I know, are here on this message board. Sure, I may LOOK healthier than I did at 250... but the important thing is that I FEEL good for taking on such a task and overcoming it WITHOUT the help of surgery, pills, etc etc. THAT is an accomplishment, and a big one in my book. And for that reason, you should be proud. You have come a long way in your journey, and you're doing a fantastic job. Keep up the good work... I commend you! *CJ*

381 this morning - down 5 pounds from the 386 last Saturday. My goal for February was to get to 380, so with 3 more days left I think I might to it! My goal for March will be to get down to 370. Karen

Yay!! Nice work Karen! You've got three days and 1 lb to go to reach your Feb goal... THAT is doable!! For the next few days, I would reccommend LOTS AND LOTS of water (moreso than normal)... Have a TALL glass by your side and be sipping on at it all times... make sure you run to the bathroom every 20 minutes or so. Also... NO sodium. Sodium will make you retain fluid... it prevents you from flushing everything out. Make sure you have your carbs in the AM and lots and lots of protein and vegetables, fruit is good in the AM/ around noon time. WATER WATER WATER you can do it! *CJ*

Thanks CJ - I think I can loose the pesky pound in 3 days. Weekends are the hardest for me in terms of sticking to my eating plus. Plus, my husband just left for the weekend for a little outing of his own. So, I am on my own at home this weekend. A double or triple challenge for me. Karen

Hi All, You are all doing so wonderful! Congratulations. I, on the other hand have totally lost control. I am sitting here with tingling feet (from diabetes) and still I can't control my eating. I've got to get it together. So far I've gained back 10 pounds of the 95 pounds I lost. So today is another day where I am going to try again. The only positive is that I am still exercising. Thanks for listening. Hopefully next week I can post a more positive outcome. Ann 306/222 ARRHHHHHHH /130 Non-op

Ann, I am in awe of YOU - loosing 95 pounds is a great achievement. I don't even allow myself to think that far ahead in my journey. Don't be too down on yourself. And continuing to exercise is no small thing either. Karen

Ann, I read your post and I just remember so vividly those days when it all starts right and then it falls apart. But don't give up. You came here, posted that, so you obviously aren't ready to give up!!! Keep exercising. Even if you stay steady that's what matters. Donna
