Exercise Challenge-Tuesday
This is not exactly up to the intensity you have, Phyllis, but here goes:
Last night, between 6:30 and 7:00, my husband & I went to Gunning Park Recreation Center and walked their inner track for a few minutes, until we felt uncomfortable. We started last Friday, so this is all we're up to right now. We watched the kickboxing dance class below us while we walked, and we will join up with that later. It runs from 6:00 to 7:30, and has people of all shapes, sizes, and ages.

Don't diminish the work you do; any exercise you take on is better than none at all!!! Be proud of what you are accomplishing. It's always going to be tiny steps before you're lofting from the rafters!!! You're on you way!!! Everyday, you do a little more, until you work your way to that Kickboxing dance class!!! Now there's something to work toward!!!

Doing well on the new food plan. No cheating, and I'm staying within my calorie range!!! Down from 257# on Friday to 252# today!!! Hip Hip Hooray!!!
100 minutes of cardio: elliptical for 70 minutes, and recumbant bike for 30 minutes. Then, lower body weights for 20 minutes. Isn't it neat how when you're eating right, you really feel good about your exercise, and you'll put in the extra 5 or 10 minutes. It really does matter!!! When we realize that the first 15 to 20 minutes of cardio exercise is burning free running easily available carbohydrates---then the body converts to burning our stored fat after that 20 minutes: every single minute I'm exercising or lifting weights after that initial 20 minutes is ALL FAT BURNING!!! How's that for a little incentive to go a few minutes longer on whatever machine you're on. Just a little know fact that may help motivate you to keep up your exercise regimine!!! It sure motivates me!
Thanks for the never-ending support!!
Jessica
P.S.--Glad to see so many people posting today!!! WE all need each other!! Y'all are doing wonderfully, and motivate me more than I can tell you!
