Monday Menu - Better Late Than Never!

Breakfast 1 cup oatmeal 1 cup skim milk 1 small orange 1/4 cup scrambled egg substitute Coffee 2 cups water AM Snack 1 Slimfast Muffin bar 2 cups water 1 pouch Whole Grain Twists (eaten when I got home) Lunch 1 cup fat free cottage cheese with 3 Tbsps. sugar free preserves 2 graham crackers 2 sugar free Jello cups 1 nectarine 2 cups water Dinner Leftover Moroccan Spiced chicken 1 cup brown rice 1 can fruit ****tail (drained) 1 can vegetable soup Crystal Light peach ice tea Guess what?! I didn't eat any of my client's food today, and I didn't miss it, and I didn't feel deprived! In fact, she had set out a baggie of five Oreo cookies for me, and I put them away in her cupboard without eating any of them! This is a big deal for me! I thought this was going to be horribly difficult, with hunger pangs and deprivation feelings. Nothing like that happened. I feel that God is really looking out for me, now! Denise Phares

Yeah for you Denise! Breakfast: LA fruit smoothie with pineapple, 1 oz. cheese stick, 3 lowfat Triscuits, chocolate chip cookie dough LA Lite Bar Snack: peanut butter LA Lite Bar Lunch: LA chocolate protein meal replacement drink, apple, Dannon lowcarb yogurt, 3/4 oz mixed nuts Dinner: ground turkey patty sauted with green onion, green pepper, and chopped tomato; cooked cabbage with 1 T. lowfat margarine; fresh strawberries I started my 4th week of maintenance yesterday. My fingers get tired typing all the food I'm eating now. But the maintenance is working. Eating more of the right kind of foods is not making me gain. I'm learning how to maintain a healthy weight. Fantastic, Lynette. I remember how you were struggling with the thought of maintenance--but now, look how you're kicking butt!!! Here's my menu for the day: Meal 1: soup, peaches Meal 2: Lean Cuisine dinner, pc of string cheese Meal 3 Healthy Choice dinner Didn't need any snacks today!!! Yayyy! I'm staying well within my 1500 calories, and I got in my exercise today. I'm feelin' alright!! I'm thrilled the plan is working for you! You made it to goal: I wanna be like you when I grow DOWN!!!!
